Friends are most precious, and I've had a few,
And on this website, it's been mostly fun.
Right now I have some other things to do;
Excuse me now, I'll grab my horse and run.

Excellent reply to Bri Edwards. Try to keep doing what you are doing.
I came back to this and read more comments and find why you came crawling back: Susan Williams, horse-lover. ;)
You think Susan is the reason I came back? I love Susan like a sister, but she has forgotten me. I last sent her a message on May 30, to which she has not responded.
turn that horse of yours around right now, my friend, this site will be too lonesome without you---really, who am I going to write my songs to horses for? seriously, this site will be way too lonesome without you
Hi Dear poet, a farewell in inimitable fashion. Loved the mention to passion to poetry and friendship you had enjoyed on PoemHunter.
Cowboy, get your talented ___ back here right now... don't make me saddle up and ride our there in the plains and the forests looking for my good and valued friend...
This, by my friend Ron, will be among my most favorite poems anywhere. Come back when and if you feel like it; you will be missed. bri ;)
Their has been 'evidence' recently that someone may be masquerading as Swain. : ( bri
Leave it to Kim and Bharati to point out in their comments that this masterful poem is an A C R O S T I C! ! ! And 'Rhonda' leaves an interesting comment about a possible imposter on PH! ! !
I don't expect people to use my name in such an unethical manner. I am sorry, someone has used my name for his sadistic pleasure
So sorry, Dillip. That was my father, Robert Murray Smith. He keeps refusing to take his medication, and he does crazy things when he goes off of it.
What happened to my other comments? Poem Hunter is messed up! I will miss you, Cowboy. You have been a great friend to me.
A lovely ACROSTIC to say good bye to pals.On this Site I often wonder who is who.But I my intuition guides me to choose my friends.
'Stick to your horsy poems.' Daddy, can't you see that you have already driven this poet away from this website? Must you continue to insult him even after he has gone?
'You don't know what sonnets are.' said my father, Robert Murray Smith, while posing as Dillip Swain. Really, Daddy, if you can't see that this is a magnificent sonnet, you are displaying your ignorance.
Cowboy, if you really are saying goodbye, you have done it in style. This acrostic Shakespearean sonnet is truly a masterpiece. Happy trails, my friend, and five stars to put in your lonely sky!
forgive me, Cowboy, my trails have been very rough and I've lost some of my tough, but I have missed you and many of the other fine poets here, missed you all dearly as well as myself--this site would lose its flavor, its fun, and its savor without you here to ride the trails with
