The Fair Name Of Spring Poem by james watkin

The Fair Name Of Spring

The fair name of Spring
From violet's niche of shade
Magnified on earth.
Mary's own hallowing
As from here, held! In this
Ray's thinness; nun's mirth!

From where snowdrop of
Her own sorrowing's badge
Dank darkly soil rears.
Lily of the valley
Of her pure sweetening
Which this rot endears.
