The Fae came down the mountain,
down,
her heart soft summer rain,
for she had fallen Fae in love,
with a huntsman on the plain.
The Fae came down the mountain,
down,
her song soft as a sigh,
and sang him deep, to faerie sleep,
with a Fae soft lullaby.
The huntsman dreamed he had a dream,
of endless Summer skies,
of silver wings, and faerie rings,
of a queen with opal eyes.
Then the huntsman dreamed he had a dream,
of endless Winter skies,
of gray and old, alone and cold,
of a queen with empty eyes.
The Fae came down the mountain,
down,
her heart soft summer rain,
for she had fallen Fae in love,
with a shepherd on the plain.
