The Fading Moon Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Fading Moon

Rating: 5.0

Today I walk alone
Along the path to the
Riverside
I watch the moon just
Before break of the
Dawn and it looks like
A shy bride

Just above the horizon
Draped with the veil
Of clouds
It sits alone watching
The earth below where
The birds make a few
Unruly crowds

I see the moon fading
Away silently behind
Rugged hill
As a streak of ray
Appears to brighten
Up the sky and water
Of the rill

A casual walk alongside a river before dawn is so cool and fresh. The landscape being remote and the fade light of the moon still falling down and the atmosphere having been veiled under thin mist. It's really a " poetic" time
