Dear Mary, Lovely poem this one. I agree that the world is full of hypocrites and a literary person like a poet fresquently opposes this through his mighty sword ie his pen. In this warr I am always with you. Keep it up. So nice. Far far above your age. Thanks! Truth of Creation .................................. ......................

In the first stanza you really identify the enemy vividly with those three drum-beats: when they are not/when they are not/when their hearts are dark. In the second stanza you become a warrior for the side of Light and Truth, but it appears the opposition is too strong and you have to pull back. I guess that's what the title refers to: the fact is the opposition can't be defeated - yet! Keep beating the drum!

I love the agression in this poem! I feel it! Your thoughts are well communicated too. I will like it if people like tat woke up from such self-deception.
