The Face Of Fear Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Face Of Fear

You are so much
younger
than me
your whole life ahead
You are just being
born
I am almost dead
I aint trying to break
your heart
I aint trying to mess
up your mind
I am just telling you
that
you've got to leave
the baggage behind
as you get older
your eyes may become dimmer
but your sight
becomes clearer
when you look at
yourself your past
becomes your mirror
as long as one lives
one is expected to learn
you've gotten rid
of the fear
don't ever
let it return!
