The Eyes That Speaks Poem by Adebayo Akinrinola

The Eyes That Speaks

THE EYES THAT SPEAKS
I stand in the midst of the warmth in my room, my eyes staring through the window

I see People, faces and hear the familiar rhythmic sounds of little children running
Amidst the collision of several activities, i hear deep within me, voices; my aroused curiosity seeks to know where these very intense words emerged from

I see the eyes speaking, I hear pain, i hear the voice of fear uncertainty, unhappiness
Little children playing happily, while the eyes is shouting out loud and repeatedly saying 'hunger'

Looking into the eyes of an elderly man, I hear the voice of regret, a voice contradicting a captivating smile outlined by tender wrinkles
The eyes of a beautiful woman speaking loud and clear pain, emotional suffering and loneliness. Many are carried away by her exotic smile, they turn deaf ears to the very loud voice of her dreamy but unhappy eyes

The eyes that speaks fear even on the tough macho faces, the eyes speaking continually, No one is paying attention
The eyes speaking deceit, betrayal and hatred on the fairytale looking face of a Person perceived to be a saint
Open up your heart, listen; The eyes speaks lound and clear, you only need to listen with your heart.
