The Extraordinary You Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Extraordinary You

Rating: 5.0

Imagine if you could,a man, a woman that can fly,

Since the mobility of the sky is unquestionable,

Stoic in your own identity,
Confident in your own sense ofvalues,
Throw all the unknowns, fear, bigotry, injustice as a waste of time,

Faithful to this one belief you'll ever have,
Sees all and wanders in the clouds and the haze,

whatever rays of the suns, even to the starlights,

Isn't that what this is all about?
Isn't it just what is to be expected?

In the faces of fire, they could could not hurt you.

After all there is just this one song.
Sung and singing,
always in your dreams,

And In the other voices.
the parallels of those choices, you'll have to be steadfast,

Be rain, be sun yourself just a particulate,
intangibles minute as midnight to the sunlight,

As passed throughmurals, rites and requiems,
As dreams are to reality,

Life in the finiteness,
Transitions to the changes,

It does not matter, if you are
one of the billions,

Be your own man
The woman of beauty,
The child of wonder.

nothing less than a metaphor.
Nothing more than the extraordinary you.
