The invader sand that got into the oyster was never driven out or ejected ! 'Instead it was coated And treated With warmness And kindness.'..... Finally the sand that first irritated the tender body of the oyster, through her patience and forbearance was turned into a priceless pearl....! I was attracted by the title of this poem, and after reading it, I realised the great analogy, and the context in which it is used: kindness, it is as a pearl. A wonderful and original poem!
