The Exiled Father
Let rusted epaulettes, medals and old uniforms rests,
Let history forget and bury its past,
Let me recover the name of my father from the memories of dust,
He was a father, doctor, soldier and war hero,
To neglect a family but served his country,
Coming to France as a vineyard picker,
He picked grapes for studies,
Graduated as a French trained doctor and served as a valet for President Chiang Kai Sheik,
Then history sided with Mao Tse Tung,
The Nationalist Forces were defeated finally by the Communist,
He was my father Lt.Colonel Of The Chinese Royal
Armed Forces,
To remember him on Father's Day is my obligation as a son.
What is second world war in the formations of its boundaries and its countries, ?
Why is death, ideologies and a mans life means so much on this Father's Day, ?
