The Epiphany Of True Love Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

The Epiphany Of True Love

The stars twinkle above me
And I let out a small insignificant sigh
My heart pounds once and then twice
And all my thoughts are revolving around you
The way you touch my face
And those warm fingers pull through my hair
The way those hazel eyes melt away the days fears
How close is never close enough when I’m in your arms

Those days of anguish and sorrow
How I hate them so much
We have so much to offer to each other
The miscommunications are often
And each time you shed a tear
My heart utterly breaks

I don’t want to see those eyes swallowed by sadness
I want them to be lavished by love
I want to take you in and show you my unyielding heart
The one who you stole right from under my nose

I put up no fight, nor any boundaries
Yet I can’t help but feel you blocking me out
I don’t bare the guilt of past wrongs on you
I have showed you nothing but compassion
So fear me not, only embrace me

Your heart is something I cherish unconditionally
It means more to me then words could ever describe
Don’t you see this constant battle I deal to you
The battle to conquer the world and have our love last
That’s all I want from you
Is for you to love me in return for my own affection

So patch up past fears and take me in
Breathe in the smell of satisfaction
And feel the spiritual connection we share
You are my heart, soul, and mind
You’re with me always

Quitting may seem like such an easy road to travel
But I’ll be damned if I’ll give up that easily
Your worth all the tears and pain in the world
For those nights that I spend locked in your eyes

I see the world in your eyes
They sparkle with truth and pain
The desires you have are so bold
Yet I believe one day you’ll have what you want
One day they’ll all see what you see
And know what it is you speak of
I know I believe in it all
Even if I seem so distant or dismissive of it

Your thoughts, expressions, and ideas
They all mean so much to me
Due to the simple fact that they are important to you
Means they are important to me too

So we’ll take on the world together
We’ll show them how damned they truly are
We’ll find a way to break them down
And show them this world is decaying
It’s pathetic and needs to be recreated
By only one thing
Love

We’ll be the example of an eternity of cherished time
Of things never taken for granted
How we appreciate things for what they truly are
How we can concur everything together
Because together we are strong
And nothing will ever break us down
