The Entreaty Of An Earnest Lover Poem by Namita Rani Panda

The Entreaty Of An Earnest Lover

My sweet dearie! My heart's desire!
Come and be my eternal pleasure!
Waiting for you with an earnest heart,
spreading for you a gulmohor carpet.

A robe for you dear of peacock feather,
you'll be a resplendent blue sapphire.
Jewells of jasmine for your cascade hair,
sandalwood for your skin so fair.

Refresh you with nectarous kisses,
wonderfully warm honeyed-embraces,
spray of my fragrant cool fanning,
relieve your pain with soothing smoothing.

Entertain you with cuckoo's spring calls,
the gorgeous gurgling gleeful waterfalls,
beautiful birds in flight in the sky azure,
forest brakes sprinkled with lovely flowers.

Gift you green crop waves so charming,
the moon among the stars so shining,
the new crimson sun at the horizon,
the most precious is the ‘me' in person.

You will enjoy a divine bliss,
please be my lassie as I wish.
I'll be yours sheep like minion,
waiting eagerly for this blissful union.
