The End Times Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

The End Times

The End Times

The beauty of time is in its omnipresence
Hiding in the deepest tunnel will neither stop
nor alter the time of the day
When you do decide to arise
Time would have drifted into space

My happiness derives not from controlling time
to suit my needs
It derives from the power i have over the end times
As a self employed near retirement person
i decide what time what i do will end
The end times.

Granted
i would have wanted to control when my time on earth will be up
Everybody does
The time taken to ponder over this issue takes time
Time being the perfect moving target
Even musing over time takes time
and so is the futility of pondering over the end times
For time will never end

For you and i my friend
our time as mortals will come to an end
and no amount of faith or belief changes that
because The End Times are a figment of the minds of time wasters.
For me my end times are decided by me.
Deciding when to start and end my daily chores as i see fit.
in total control of the start and the end times
