The End, A New Beginning Poem by Vasile Serban

The End, A New Beginning

I would take you, my love, far, far from this world,
into a universe where even the night does not sleep,
for tonight I will invent a spaceship for the days in death
where I will hide all the dreams we had while living on Earth.

When we stroll among the stars and through the galaxies
that ask for a small payment for a beginning we never had,
I would show you, from afar, the sun that is immortal,
and I would lay at your feet a carpet made of purely dark.

There, where the stars dance their waltz of the first birth,
and the moon gazes silently at the dance hall of the cosmos,
while asteroids paint on her body with the dark hues of the universe,
will be the home of our love, for our souls will be in love forever.
