The End Comments

Rating: 4.7

The end of anything comes rather easy,
Time is not like a clock, time is freaky.
The sun does not come and go,
The moon does not come and go.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, view and concept with the rest of us. You have an interesting look on The End of whatever comes or goes. It is a good pondering piece, that's for sure. Through this I see a summary of life and all that pertains to it including our surroundings, the environment, and that moment when all things come to a close. Here you tie everything up, while giving the impression that although it may seem the end, it can be the beginning of something else. Well done. Thanks for sharing and many blessings to you

Whole poem thoughtful but I especially like how the last line reminds us of how our minds habitually work, probably or could be, out of necessity. Something to think about. Our delight in in the future.

The end of something is the beginning of another, Should we remember how many times That the child has been a sophomore, a senior? At birth, we were reminded by countless chimes Of life, that there is an end to everything, And there is always a new beginning. The constant ending of matters sends the wrong message, Always remember that life is a passage. We move on from one state to another, It is mind-boggling that we’re always thinking about the future.... i am in love with this stanza... this poem is hands down amazing..

The cycle of time. Clocks, calenders, and other tools to mark our aging. Endless until the end. When it is over, everything stops...DC

Life is a passage from body to soul...from senses to extra-senses... from ephemera to eternity from the human to the devine...abd its greatness lies in this very absurdity...

Your closing lines were very effective, Herbert, in this most interesting and well expressed free style poem. Though we may bemoan our past, as well as our current times, we always look toward the future with hope. I guess it is one of mankind's traits, caried over from pre-historic times! Carl.
