They embraced each other enthusiastically
after an interval of over thirty years
Time and experience had taken their toll on these two fading beauties.
And, their erstwhile rivalries had long been swept aside
No more the occasional flashing glance
No more the curling lip in disdain
or any need to grab the attention of men
Petty youth had disappeared
to be replaced by an inner tranquility and serenity
