The Edge Of The Unknown Poem by Bharati Nayak

The Edge Of The Unknown

When I gaze into a night sky dotted with million stars
And moon beams like liquid silver pouring over the earth
My mind flies to an unknown land
I start counting one, two, three
Ah! how many are there?
Are they in millions, trillions or zillions
How many earths, planets, moons or stars
Constitute the Universe?
Who created these celestial bodies?
What lies beyond the end?
And how far the end stretches ?
My inquisitive mind gets tired
I am thinking what is beyond thinking
I am but a tiny particle, trying to conceive
The mysteries of The Creator , The Infinity.
