Alcoholism is a horrendous, caning, baffling disease that destroys lives, not only the life of a drinker, but the lives of everyone that is connected to the drinker. In some cases they are worst off then the alcoholic, because they are there to pick up the pieces, filling abandoned, powerless, enraged, sad, having to go with out, children have to carry a stigma................ Exelent write dough...........good story teller
A sad but strong verse Michael - - reading it has been an experience of the worst which can overcome those who are trapped into this mode.... a roundelay of ever diminishing returns can only make the 'alcoholic foreplay' an entire tragedy. This exposure will surely aid others to take steps away from such dependence. - - glad I did not miss this - -and greetings from Fay in Cornwall U.K.
Very powerful poem :)
