the title sounded familiar; it SHOULD, as i used it not long ago in a showcase. the poem did not sound too familiar for some reason; you still didn't change with out to without. maybe it is a vernacular usage in your part of the country? hmm? the Poet's Notes DID sound quite familiar! yes, finished. good for you! bri ;) i think bring home the gold was in some beer or cigarette commercial years, and years ago.

Thanks for the Poet's Notes to go with the poem. and, especially since the poem is so short, i'll attach your Notes after the poem in June's showcase. soon i shall send the showcase to everyone whose poems i'm using and to some others, including some of 'the guys'. at first i thought you were writing about me toiling to bring poems to the showcase! ! hee-hee. Thanks for your fine poem. 'Dragons' can be lots of things. strangely, i just got a note from Liza Sud, not Lisa, about giving ME gold. i think she was teasing me. to MyPoemList also. bri :)
