The Direction Within Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Direction Within

What appears before our eyes
is dimmer than a dream.
In the mirror's silence,
no reflection takes form.

Yet deep within,
an echo resounds—
beyond words,
beyond letters,
beyond any voice that could hold it.

It is the same echo
that trembled at the dawn of being,
when the question rang out:
"Am I not your Lord? "
And the heart whispered back:
"Indeed! "

Since then, every pulse,
every breath,
every tear that falls—
is but that "Indeed! " repeating,
a summons to return.

In my rebellion,
I was lost,
until a wave of silence
crushed me into remembrance.

That silence—
so vast, so radiant—
even a scream
drowned in its depths.
There, in its stillness,
lay all of life's secrets.

In the embrace of nothingness,
when I erased myself,
I saw:
I was only a veil
for His face, unveiled.

When light pierced
the chamber of my heart,
the walls of existence dissolved.
No longer "you, " no longer "I"—
only Him.

Now, wherever I gaze,
His reflection shimmers.
Every atom bears witness,
every moment conceals Him.

Neither "I" nor "you" remain—
only That which words betray,
which thought cannot contain.

Here, at last, I knew myself—
where even knowing
was no longer needed,
where simply being was enough.

This is the journey inward—
where light consumes shadow,
where existence, through annihilation,
becomes whole.
Where every question
unfolds its own answer.
