hey, daniel! yes, what is soul? how separate it from the spirit within us? i don't know. i think of spirit as what animates us, what leaves when we pass—which i explore in my poem panty hose meditation (i know, it's a funny title for a serious subject) . is soul the accumulation we call character shaped by a lifetime of decisions that welds itself to our spirits? mainly questions here... -glen
Your two definitions of spirit and soul may be roughly expressed but they're winningly conceived. O think you've made the necessary distinction between them and still left room for their interaction. I'm inspired to probe further along the lines you've drawn. You've done the heavy lifting. What's left to articulate is how they interpenetrate each other. It's doable.
