Walking along the path I heard leaves break
Becoming like dirt under the soles of my shoes.
They, in their millions, epitomized beauty
And life, but now they decompose and wane.

A poem on the life cycle of the green leaves, as compared to the cycle of nature. The same honor of being selected as the 'Member Poem of the Day' for the last consecutive three years (or perhaps more) on the same day, does not seem to show a good piece of judgement from the PH Selection Team. I find many better poems than this on this site, almost everyday.
Story of life nicly put together in this beautiful poem. Today what is green and standing tall will not be there tomorrow and this will continue the cycle of the life via birth and death of everything that once born. Fantastic poem 10++
Finally! A poem worthy of being chosen as member poem of the day! This is excellent! It goes to my favorite poem list!
beautiful poem penned on the natural law and it's decaying, birthing, dying...congrats for being selected this beautiful poem again as POD
today which we find as green tomorrow will be withered today whom we met as alive tomorrow will be dead today's green leaf or flowers tomorrow's rotten leaf or petals no scent will be there, no beauty glittering will be there, fulfill everything will be decaying empty and again empty reservoir will be brimful pool actually this is the law of nature and poet very acutely delineated this screen of nature by the poetic words
Today the streets are littered with their remnants And on tomorrow they shall be no more For Life halts as fate wields her unbiased winds, And death covers the land in shades of black ........beautiful poem about life and death in every step of the nature the rules of life and death is hidden naturally; no one can change this rule cause of natural motion;
For Life halts as fate wields her unbiased winds, just yesterday.... The trees stood tall in their armor of green.... //.... Poem with a philosophical message. Thank you, Leslie. Hearty Congratulations.
For Life halts as fate wields her unbiased winds, And death covers the land in shades of black.............................. a strong structure to fix the reader whether a brain his/her own to settle.
he loss makes one ponder: just yesterday The trees stood tall in their armor of green, Questioning - in rustle - even the breath of God, But today they lie alone - humbly unclothed. great poem indeed congrats! ! !
An insightful inscription on changes of life and nature has been touchingly and astutely made. Thanks and congratulations for being selected this poem as the member poem of the poem of the day.
The trees stood tall in their armor of green, Questioning - in rustle - even the breath of God, But today they lie alone - humbly unclothed. Nothing in this world can survive mortality. Thank you and congratulatio
The cycle of nature working on decay of leaves due to fall and reemergence of the foliage in it's season giving the beauty and aura back to trees beautifully portrayed in this deserving poem of the day. Congrats.
One wonders whether the standard of this poem warranted another Poem Of The Day. Good imagery. Not tight enough.
The cycle of life and death! For everyone, for everything! Powerful imagery! Congrats on poem of day!
A lovely piece indeed, and congrats for the selection as POD.
'They, in their millions, epitomized beauty And life, but now they decompose and wane' - An incisive observation.
Congrats, Life is like seasons that always change. Congrats! It's a lovely selection as member's poem.
The poem nicely reminds us of the age old adage that 'Change is the Rule of Nature'. Everything is subject to change and so the 'humbly unclothed' trees will regain their glamour of green cover. Thank you, Leslie. The trees stood tall in their armor of green, But today they lie alone - humbly unclothed.
The decaying process under which all were once shimmering and now losing sheen and this will go on till there is sun and moon.......well scripted 10++
