i give this a 97% rating. and i send it to MyPoemList. it's a nice story for one of your children's books. is it? i especially enjoyed the following lines: Those days of the rats were the days of their charm When no living creature could even think of doing them harm. Groaning in pain he once again bit a rat And was once again surprised to find him flat. So, he bit the ones who attacked him first Those were the creatures that fared the worst. The jungle in joy ruptured with sounds The goats and the dogs danced with hands held around. scene/scene is ok. stayed/stray is a good try but i bet you could make it better. overall i found the rhyming to be exceptional and very entertaining. the story is almost magnificent. thanks for sharing.

A very good narrative with satiric sense.
