The Day Of My Rapture Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The Day Of My Rapture

Heaven a place of bliss, where light doth glow,
A day of rapture I shall know,
My soul shall soar on wings of grace,
To heavens embrace, a sacred space.

With heart aflame and spirit free,
I'll dance with joy, eternally.
The veils of sorrow shall be torn,
As love's sweet nectar I'll adorn.

In meadows green and skies of blue,
I'll sing my praise, my love anew.
The symphony of angels' choir,
Will fill my soul with pure desire.

No more shall tears cloud my sight,
For in this rapture, all is right.
The touch of God, a gentle breeze,
Will bring me peace and endless ease.

The death will be defended,
And the grave wage for itself.
At his feets, my heart will bow,
For the death, pains and sorrows are no more.

With every breath, I'll taste delight,
In this communion, day and night.
The day of rapture, my soul's desire,
A timeless moment, set afire.

So let me bask in this divine embrace,
Where love and joy forever chase.
In this sweet melody, I'll proclaim,
The day of rapture my eternal flame.
