One day as I walked through the mall,
I met a man who was quite tall.
His face lit up. 'How are you, Ben?
I ain't seen you since who knows when! '
Now, I'm not Ben; my name is Kim,
but that I'll not reveal to him.
He is so happy, joy no end.
He thinks he's found a long-lost friend.
'How is your wife? '
'Oh, she's just fine.
She spends a lot of time online.
She orders dresses, shoes and such.
Sometimes I think she spends too much,
but I don't scold her. She's a dear,
and fills my life with so much cheer.
Well, I must go now; you take care,
and we'll meet up again somewhere.'
And so I sent him on his way,
with hopes he'll see his Ben some day.
What an amusing story! You tell it so skillfully, with such well crafted rhythm and rhyme! You make such excellent poems--I always feel priviledged to read them! Well crafted; it made me feel light-hearted! Merry Christmas to you!
This is hilarious! It's just like Hank to not tell the man who he was! Still laughing!
