The Dark Winter Of Old Age

Rating: 5.0

Cry oh cry, dear soul
For the worldly light shines so bleak
And sorrowful is the day and the night

Cry oh cry, dear soul
For the joyous seasons are spent
And the bright flowers
Lingers so dull

Cry oh cry, dear soul
For the days have grown old
And wild summers have replaced
The dark winter of old age

Cry oh cry, dear soul
No longer the trees born Sweet fruits
No longer does the sun play sweet melodies
No longer does the river brings life

Cry oh cry, dear soul
Weep dear friends
For the wine of life
Has run dry

Cry oh cry, dear soul
For the grief laden skies
Beckon me home
My final resting place
