On one dark night my child set out to see the show they talk about and I sat here and faced my fear that things can happen to ones so dear. If I had heaven in my hand, I'd bless them all with life so grand to sit and linger at God's feet and share His love with all I meet.
Lead your loved ones by the hand.
Prevail in prayer to save our land.
Teach them to wait upon the Lord.
In knowing one can not get bored.
They rock the paint and play the band
and show the strength of God's own hand.
They give their hearts to only You
and live the life You call them to.
Heaven guides them when they trust,
Mercy heal them or I bust.
Like a cloud that settles here,
This room is filled. He takes my fear.
Your healing touch gives a new start.
Bring health again from sorrows heart.
Word spoke life in subtle rank,
the cells that built the holy tank.
No spread of lies, no curse of earth,
can now undo our second birth.
Reform the skin and build it right.
Love Your children through this night.
God You are so good.
If only that, I understood,
then wreck my plans and take my days
and let them all be filled by praise
to One and Only Servant King
who bowed and showed us this one thing,
to wash the feet and dry them off,
to heal the sick and never scoff.
God bless them all that stay up late,
and keep them safe both small and great.
