The Cry Of The Lost Atlantean Poem by John Duffy

The Cry Of The Lost Atlantean

Will you still
Walk with me

The one I once named
Anointed and baptized within
My mind

In my own ancient
Gardens of Gethsemane

Where together once again
I shall no longer stand alone

Will you pray wherever you are

To empower me
When the Darkness Soldiers
Come

To encourage me
To
Help me to breach all the rugged mountains
I need to
To atone

But all I ask of you
Now at this moment
Is simply this

Upon my Sanguine lonely cheek
Plant an incandescent soft
Kiss

To reignite my eternal soul

And clench
Tightly my hard
Working hand

As we both
Into this new rebirth

This inexplicable
Deceptive life

We both now live

Just now Reborn

Now again
To
Just run
