The Crowd Has Spoken Poem by Shirley Harrison

The Crowd Has Spoken

Sometimes I want to call you

but I know in my heart

you're not here

I'm sorry you had to let go

I'm sorry we had to say goodbye

one more embrace

one more thing to say?

I'd truly give anything

to hear it today

back in time I saw your smile

you told me I was loved

you told me, you were proud

yet today...

this room has no crowd.
