The Cross Poem by Randy McClave

The Cross

If your feet are not on the ground
Then you are home bound,
If you have never clinched a fist
Your independence was at risk.
If you have never opened up your eyes
You were a subject to lies,
If you have never opened up your ears
You never knew of worries or fears.
If you have never spoke your mind
Peace you will never find,
If you have never remembered the cross
You are then lost.
