A new chapter—
a foreign place,
yet faces familiar
appear—not in clay,
but as spirits once,
listening, seeing, speaking
on the Day of Alast.
Close to Him,
we took the covenant.
He asked, "Am I not your Lord? "
and we replied, "Yes, we testify! "
Here, in the world of senses,
memory fades.
I wander in the wilderness,
lost among illusions—
until my heart begins to speak:
Do not seek
some distant time or place.
The covenant lies
neither behind you
nor beyond you.
It breathes within,
whispers in your very breath.
Ask, "Am I not your Lord? "
And answer, "Yes, my Lord! "
Then the veil lifts,
the fog dissolves.
Awareness dawns,
and in humble submission,
I rejoice.
For this is my essence,
the essence of all—
through which He manifests.
Every leaf, every star, every atom
joins in testimony with me.
I rest in the Truth,
whole, at peace,
quietly radiant—
home in His Oneness.
