Ans.4. We are responsible for whatever bad happens in this world and death is not always a punishment. Our choices cause and effect impact. Whatever bad happens it is because we have disobeyed God and obeyed satan with our free will. God doesn't need our prayers and He doesn't create viruses to make us pray. Cheers and peace.
Ans,3. This life is a test so it is pointless for God to step in and stop all evil depriving us of free will. He didn't create this world just for us to enjoy. If you want a perfect world wirh no evil then God would need to create robotic angels that do His bidding by force which would be pointless. We have to do good and not evil to deserve the heaven in afterlife and punishment if we choose evil.
Ans. part 2. And the second theory blames super powers for creating this virus as an experiment or a strategy to depopulate the world, again that puts the humans to blame. God allows free will and we have to bear the consequences of humans messing with free will and abusing it. For instance we have the free will to steal or not to steal, to kill or not to kill but if we do kill and steal when it is forbidden by God then God will not intervene to stop it.
Ans. Part 1. Bri sent me comments so I'm answering him to clarify points. You see God is very merciful and loving. God did not send the virus. There are many theories regarding the cause of the corona virus and all of them have humans to blame for it. You see one strong theory is that the virus spread from people eating forbidden flesh such as bats and even in the past it was spread from forbidden flesh like swine i.e swine flu.
3 - So, WHY then has G allowed the virus to exist and make people suffer and be afraid? ? Does he ‘require’ us to pray for “mercy” before ‘exterminating’ it? ? That does not sound like a loving G. Bri : (
The virus is due to mankinds doing and his rapacious careless ways. God is loving but He lets natural punishments punish humans for their bad ways. Thanks
2 - i may have accidentally sent a partial comment just now. : ( " Pray to God for mercy bow and kneel! " " Exterminate this virus? only God can and will." I haven’t believed I “God” in the last 50 years, and ONE thing which turns me off to the belief ….(though I’m NOT saying ‘believing’ is ‘wrong’ or ‘unwise’) …is that I was taught that God loves “us”. And G is all-powerful. (cont.)
" Pray to God for mercy bow and kneel! " and " Exterminate this virus? only God can and will." One BIG doubt i have about the existence of such a god [ I
1 - photo reminds me of WW11 underwater mine (bomb for sinking ships) . line 15: minute = " adjective. very small or of little importance" Favorite lines so far: " In lockdown pray and ink still spill" to MyPoemList...for reportage** and rhyming and 'flow'. **(though some, i know, have doubts about it) (cont.)
A good poem on the current pandemic COVID-19. 'The world seems to have come to a standstill You now have time to sharpen your poetic quill' - ha ha ha! I am doing just that! You may be glad to know that my poem 'Parallel Lines, Parallel Lives' has been published in the front page of poemHunter today as the 'Member Poem of the Day'. If you have some time, please read and comment.

Yes, only God can will this virus to disappear. It is tightening its tentacles on us each day and the tension all over the world is mounting. Enjoyed reading your poem with the jingling effect of chill, pill, and kill, but hardly with any thrill.....as the content is frightening!
How come I can't see the comments here in public comment section but thanks all I did read them in my email and poem inner comment section.
Coronavirus is so furious and has taken many lives in spite of several attempts to survive from this disease. You have so brilliantly inscribed this poem with metaphor. I want to cite here.... like a fish without a gill / for we can't breathe / like the eel or krill. / In mouths hot water / flush and swill / Exterminate this virus? / only God can and will. Thank you dear madam for sharing this gem.
among other linguistic feat i'll refer to the use of [ill] all throughout that underpinned the scrooge harmful effect
This great pandemic has brought so much darkness and sadness to humanity. It has changed lives drastically and equalizes men through fear. A great poem that expresses in beautiful detail the effects of covid 19. a well conveyed write.
It`s a good topic for discussion. I do share your opinion that we all must pray God. But we also must be careful ourselves. We must take care of ourselves and of our close people, first of all. God will help us only if we help each other. Thanks for sharing the poem. (I also have a poem on this topic but it is written in Russian. I will upload it here when I translate it into English) .
well penned poem, let the ink spill poetically in the lockdown time.
Your skillful wording and imagery well depicts the tragic crisis which has gripped our entire world. I am glad you ended on a positive note, because I also believe that God can and will eliminate this scourge.5 stars
