The Concrete And The Abstract Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

The Concrete And The Abstract

Rating: 5.0

At winter's end, a restful night,
The mind, a blank canvas.
I can paint anything I like,
Abstract, concrete, meaningless!

This vast universe expanding,
The zillions of stars burning,
By inches the mountains moving,
By inches the oceans rising!

The glaciers slowly melting,
The species slowly dying,
And in all this eternal churning,
Man's search for love never-ending!

A most lovely poem. As a student of Physics, I do endorse what the poet says: there is chaos everywhere and it is only rising. Like Entropy, as stated in the Laws of Thermodynamics. (Contd)
