Love is treacherous because innocent charms the feeling seemed first but proved later deadly deemed. In his dreams too, she disdains. That is why the boys these days have a policy in love: love one who loves you.

The complaint of a lover and his protestations nicely captured. This lyrical poem is a joy to read. Thanks for sharing. I would like to quote a few lines as under: Ah! Who would them have deadly deem'd? But Flowers do often Serpents hide. For in my Dreams I am in Love, And in them too she does Disdain.
