The Colour Of Life Poem by Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Mumin

The Colour Of Life

On the other side of life
I feel like I've been stabbed with a knife
Sadness has become my wife
Telling me the true meaning of life
Evil and darkness
Continuous madness
Less happiness
More of Sadness
It has many names
I hear some call it a test
Others too say it's a curse
For it destroys that organ under the chest
The damage is very fierce
The people around care less
Some might show true concern
They still cannot take away all your burden
Happiness and sadness are like day and night
None of the is permanent
They come without a warrant
They strike harder than a serpent
