The clouds come and go
Pouring rain across the plains
Filling up ponds and rivers
Courtyards and wells and drains
The clouds come and go
Dark and heavy with cool drops
From this end to that across
The sky they hang over treetops
The clouds come and go
Bringing happiness to masses
Farmers with their cattle
Run to fields with smiling faces
The clouds come and go
A relief after scorching summer
At night hearing sweet
Melody we enjoy peaceful slumber
Some may not like a cloudy sky, but I could never figure why.
Bringing happiness to masses A relief after scorching summer.... //.... The poem revives the images of a life that is nurtured and flourished by rain. Thanks for a nicely crafted poem.
