The City That Cries Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

The City That Cries

Rating: 5.0

The half deserted streets whimpers and cries
As midnight strikes
In the depths of tonight

The city trembles under its crime
The pale moon whispers a feverish cry
While people are asleep
In their homes in sweet delight

Corruption and crime
Reins this city through day time
Like any other city across this world
You can find

And what arises
Is its dead souls
Every night

Unknown to its dwellers
The city cries
Under the agonies
Committed by its residents
Year after year
Through time
