I love your description of autumn Barry joyful snow, good books, warm fires, and peaceful sleep. Now that sounds like heavan to me I enjoyed the image of summer pleasures giving up to autumn A delightful and uplifting poem thank you Barry

Thank you. I wrote this back in the 70s I think. The poem also has a spiritual comment on death. Seasons are a natural cycle. Death and winter then are welcomed. I wanted to give a new meaning to fall and winter, just a stage.
