I love your description of autumn Barry joyful snow, good books, warm fires, and peaceful sleep. Now that sounds like heavan to me I enjoyed the image of summer pleasures giving up to autumn A delightful and uplifting poem thank you Barry
Thank you. I wrote this back in the 70s I think. The poem also has a spiritual comment on death. Seasons are a natural cycle. Death and winter then are welcomed. I wanted to give a new meaning to fall and winter, just a stage.
I understand it, dear Barry, the way you wanted to think of it by the reeturns of the yearns, perhaps because we are about the same age.I enjoyed it.
Glad you liked it. I actually detest getting old but what can I do? I try to make it as positive as I can.
