The Child, Forgotten Poem by Randy McClave

The Child, Forgotten

If those children had not died
I wonder who for them would have cried,
Who would had shouted out for all to hear
"I will protect you from all coming fear! "
And I will always give you food to eat
Never for food will you have to beg for on the street,
And I will be there to clothe and also protect you
Because it's the righteous and the Christian thing to do.
Whose going to say you are going to live with me
And happy your life it's going to be,
You will always have a roof over your head
And I promise you that you will always have a clean bed.
I will make sure that you will have a good life
And I will help you with all your worries and strife,
And I will be there for your sadness and pain
Never will you hear me criticize or complain.
And if I can't help you I know that our taxpayers proudly will
Your living and surviving should be a major bill,
That's what our tax dollars should truly go for
Instead for the greedy, and/or for another war.
But, that's not what the people are ever shouting
That's why I am here double doubting,
Because, when the embryo is not aborted
The child is then forgotten, and never helped or supported.
