The Cerebri Recess Poem by Shraddhanand Srivastava

The Cerebri Recess

THE CEREBRI RECESS

of the days
just gone by:
covering up the
long distance
chasing the fleece
floating up in air;
mesmeriz'd
running after 'nd
striving for
catching hold of
th' beautiful
pied color
butterfly;
not far back
the glow worms,
in th' phase of
darksome night
on the numerous
leaves of Peepal tree
with their mystical light
used to make
me petrified; ------------------
of the days
just gone by
when in the
thick pall night,
envelope
the howling sound
the world around
mother our beloved mother
lulled with lullabies
as ethical verses
and some Ramayan
encouraging lines;
