The mourners are waiting for the families to arrive...i didn't get this line, but............. no matter. nice rhyming. i hope the gasp wasn't from within the coffin! bri :)

Lyn, This is a beautiful poem. The house that I grew up in was located across from a cemetery. It was often my sanctuary, and I agree they are very peaceful places, sad but peaceful. Thank you for sharing this.
