The Cat Poem by marc molchan

The Cat

the Cat

weights

and rails

the meanings said

the nightingale

the Sun sets

the wind rides

the distance no longer

the cats tale

the chance we met

in our dreams

over likelihood

over kindred

silence bled

no calliope

the quilt the banter

all relate the songs we heard

the somewhere

in our dreams

forever lent out

to our mate

and our protected ones

however faint

and curious
