WOW! This does justice to the wildness of creatures, the integrity of their instinctual lives, their need for a space free of humanity were they can fulfill their wild, purely natural destiny. A Muslim teacher told me once that animals are born perfect Muslims because they are always doing God's Will by living the existence He gave them. I had never considered that before, Your poem also opened my mind to the wonder of Animal Existence. (My canary likes this poem a lot. He said to me, Daniel, Rebecca thinks we're real! !)
The fascinating and mysterious call of the wild. Described with emotional and poetic perfection! The prefect rhythm heighten the action and the poem's intention. A beautiful gem to be reread and remembered.
