She was no more
A caged bird for me.
I was enchanted.
I felt like being there-
There, at once,
With her to suffer
The same fate, to go over
the same hurdles, to cry
the same tears,
to undergo the same
of pain and sorrows.
In a moment or two
I was there
At the door,
The trapdoor of her cage.
Never did I try to know
If the case had.
An owner, soft at heart
Or rude and hard-hearted
Only it was her
At the top of my mind.

The cage is the trapdoor for the poet. As they familiar the poet don't be there due to the cage. Lovely poem. 10+++
