The burning man is every man.
The child within contained.
The shell we see, a fantasy
the inner self in chains
The self within, the truest one
kept hidden and concealed,
The outer shell, the world can see
the only ‘self' revealed
We are the child within that cage,
concealed behind the flesh and bone.
The self inside protected deep
imprisoned in that inner zone
They say we only show the world
the outer part we let it see.
Within our breast, a better self,
we sometimes show to family.
But buried deepest yet, you know
the very purest ‘you',
The one your God can always find,
the only one that's true
This Inner child, this innocent
That yearns to reconnect.
Whose purity longs to repair
the world the adults wrecked.
Remove the frame that holds your worth
and let your real self show,
fly free to touch the highest realm
and share your Inner glow.
Thank you so much Kostas for your lovely words...This particular sculpture is a real favourite of mine and provided just the inspiration I needed to express what I think the sculpture symbolizes. Thank you Lodigiana x
