A crack, a scratch, a mar, a defect, from a fall now dented
A lack, a patch, a scar, reject from a brawl how lamented
Once new unblemished, a dream shiny, untarnished and so bright
Where few embellished, a scheme, unvarnished treason and a blight
Forfeited prize, now something to despise a broken trophy
Image spoiled love soiled, defiled no longer holy
