The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Rating: 5.0

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

I don't pretend to
be anything,
pundit, teacher, enforcer,
or another eco genius,

Just free wheeling sky
of speech and eyes,
to say something is wrong,

Life disclaimers
or a marginalized
pollutant doomsayer,

Religion or life is ending,
Life is promoting the empty beehives,
inundating tsunami waves,

Or the added numbers
of extinct animals,

On the unlighted
foundations of elucidom,
or the blackness listeners,

The way the morning fog
blocks the city view,
for a clearer picture
of the green forested healths,

take soots as samples,
clogged in our
contaminated lungs,

That something is wrong,
with the air
and the water systems

or the way of life,
or the way progress,
Is fueling,
this river'sdemise,
the last throes of the living planet,

When the boy caried wolf,
And no one listens
To douse the fires
that's burning.

And the fire that consumed,
all that belongs,
to all mankind,
