The Body Amour Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Body Amour

The Body Armour

Theres just this one possession that l treasured most,
Thisarmour of love, l glad l am wearing,

Like these nights that prolongateforever,
Liked these dark roads i am traveling,
And i wore your body armour like this lucky charms, amulet, talisman,

I may never know the identities of these darkadversaries,
Childhood ghosts maybe, the traps and the snares and the human predators,

Like all mysteries in life and the weaknesses,
It hard to be as strong as you can be,
Without your love, without your embrace, this home, this sheltering cove from the storms,

Without your walls, without this suit of body armor, guarding me,

I reach for these castle walls of in times of dangers, those calamities and disillusioned times,

Your ensconced scent of being a woman, tenderness, right senses and right instincts,

Installed these dragons we two can be,
Two stout hearted soldiers against the world,

But holding your hands, walking beside you i am brave, its our unparalleled protections,
And it was always you and me against the world.
It will always meant to be as you say so,
Together not weak.
