The Bleeding Heart’s Cry Poem by Christopher Cariad

The Bleeding Heart’s Cry

Let the bleeding hearts bleed upon this canvas.
Allow them to paint a picture of the world they see.
Place them in their own reality.
Push them to fight for the lost causes,
that the world so willingly cast aside.
Let them bleed into the hearts of many,
surrendering all that is of their life,
for their fellow man.
See them extend that hand of love,
to the hungry souls,
that are desperately in search of a loving home.
Watch them care for the battered and bruised,
mending them and changing the path,
upon which they choose.
Have your hearts touched by the better
world they strive to create.
Feed off of the passion those bleeding
hearts spew from their ways.
Caring is all that the bleeding hearts
know to be.
Their love for humanity
couldn’t be matched by another.
So allow them to paint
upon the world’s portrait,
the blood in which they bleed,
creating a world of loving light.
Saving a part of humanity,
that is within us all
just dying to see the light.
