The Bird Is Flying, Did You See? Poem by R.Vijayaraghavan Ramakumar

The Bird Is Flying, Did You See?

The bird is flying, did you see?

The bird is flying, did you see?
As the dark died and the daylight shone
Day after day, all around, above and down
Miles and miles and miles onward
Just in the time eyes wink
The bird is flying, did you see?

Black and White feathers of tail
The glittering colors of feathers white
Wings with colors of Red and gold
Each lay in either side
The bird is flying, did you see?

Colors like the blue cloudy sky
Oh! The sky has grown wings
Studded the stars into its feathers
Eyes made into the sun and moon
The bird is flying, did you see?

Picked the ears of corn of the state and universe
Swallowed the continents and boundaries entire
Downed and lifted the land masses
Pecked the crowns of the monarchs great
The bird is flying, did you see?

Erasing the destiny of the eras and eras
Opening the riches of the cyclic ages
Arousing the spirits with fanning wings
Blessing the children of the new age bloom
The bird is flying, did you see?

invading the silver-village bounds
sucking water from the moon' s world
to play and to sing and to fly
on the skies of the mars' world
The bird is flying, did you see?

touched the end of the universe
stretched its brush beyond that
is it to slice the cosmic world
does anyone know what is conspired
The bird is flying, did you see?
